GUANGZHOU: Pakistan denied Malaysia a squash gold-medal sweep at the Asian Games Thursday by beating them 2-0 in the men’s team final.

Farhan Mehboob breezed past Ong Beng Hee, who won the 2002 and 2006 Asian Games individual men’s titles, 11-4, 11-4, 11-7 in the first match.

Then Aamir Atlas Khan whipped Mohamad Azlan Iskandar 14-12, 15-13, 11-4, avenging his 3-0 defeat to the Malaysian in the men’s individual final at the Guangzhou Games.

Led by world number-one Nicol David, Malaysia won the women’s team title by beating Hong Kong 2-0 earlier in the day. David also won the women’s singles gold.
